Jeff Dienesch MA, RP
Private Practice Therapist & ‘Hope Restored’ Therapist at Focus on the Family

Hi, I’m Jeff! I’m a registered psychotherapist providing individual, couples, and family therapy. I hold a BA in Psychology from the University of Waterloo, a Bachelor of Religious Education from Emmanuel Bible College, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I’m a member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Counsellors, Consultants, Psychometrists and Psychologists, and a registered member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Before moving into psychotherapy, I also spent time in the business world, working in customer service, sales, and franchise ownership.

I draw from a wide range of experiences and training in different therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). My deep compassion and love for people are what truly motivate me in my work. Some of the areas I focus on include anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions, anger management, grief and loss, couple conflict and communication, parenting, and family conflict resolution.

I am currently providing individual, couple and family therapy in private practice. In addition to that, I also provide intensive marriage therapy experiences for couples in distress. This program is called
Hope Restored, offered by Focus on the Family Canada.

My wife, Cathy, and I have been married for 36 years, and we cherish every moment we get to spend with our kids and grandchildren.

In my spare time, I enjoy sports—especially golf—and relaxing with a good book. As a family, we love to travel, go to concerts, and take in sporting events together.
