Julia Guthrie OCT, RP, CSP (she/her)
Director of Assessments
Hi, I’m Julia. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Dr. Lin for over 13 years, supporting psychological and psychoeducational assessments for children, teens, and adults. My main goal is always to help identify each client’s unique strengths and areas of need, and to work collaboratively with parents and individuals to offer practical, personalized recommendations. Whether it’s navigating intellectual, learning, behavioural, or social-emotional differences, I’m here to help create strategies that work—at school, at home, or in the workplace.
In addition to my work in assessments, I also lead our Parent Consult Services. I provide one-on-one consultations with parents and clients after their assessments to help them understand their results, process next steps, and feel supported as they move forward with clarity and confidence.
I hold a Bachelor of Education from York University in the Primary/Junior division, and I’ve also completed my Special Education Additional Qualifications through the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario. My work has always been deeply rooted in supporting children and families, especially those navigating neurodiversity. For three years, I was a member of the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) with the Durham Board of Education, representing the Tourette Syndrome Foundation of Canada. I continue to work closely with children and teens diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome, TS+, ADHD, and Autism.
I also hold a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and have received training in CBT, Play Therapy, Sandtray, and supporting sexually traumatized children.
Outside of work, I’ve been married for over 25 years and am the proud mom of two grown boys. It’s a joy and an honour to walk alongside families in their journeys—I’m here to listen, guide, and support in any way I can.
